Who we are

We are clinicians, researchers, and educators who work at the intersection of mental health, ethics, and psychedelic-informed care. Our backgrounds span academic research, active clinical practice, and lived experience navigating healthcare systems, giving us a grounded view of what providers actually need. We believe clinicians deserve training that is rigorous without being gatekept, practical without being reductive, and innovative without losing ethical footing. We design our courses to bridge research and the therapy room, helping licensed professionals respond to what’s already happening in practice with clarity, competence, and care.

Our purpose

Our purpose is to raise the standard of how psychedelic experiences are understood and held in mental health care. We exist to bridge the widening gap between what clients are bringing into therapy and what most training prepares clinicians to meet. By offering education that is evidence-based, ethically grounded, and rooted in real clinical practice, we help providers respond with competence rather than hesitation, care rather than hype, and clarity rather than fear. In doing so, we aim to support a more humane, accessible, and whole-person approach to mental health in a rapidly changing field.

PhD, LPC, LMHC

Dr. Peter H. Addy is an expert in the field of psychedelic substances and states of consciousness. With 15 years of experience, Dr. Addy has established himself as an authority on the transformative effects of transcendence and wholeness.

Dr. Addy's knowledge and expertise have made him a highly sought-after speaker and presenter, having given talks internationally on a range of topics related to spirituality, transpersonal states, psychedelic science, and research methodology.

Dr. Addy is also an accomplished writer, having authored numerous scientific articles, book chapters, and popular press articles on typical and atypical psychedelics, substance abuse, and spirituality.

Dr. Lindsay Wilkinson

ND, LAc

Dr. Lindsay Wilkinson, ND, LAc is a dual-licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist with over 10 years of experience specializing in integrative and trauma-informed mental health care.

She is the founder, owner, and Medical Director of Áureo, an integrative ketamine clinic in Portland, Oregon, where she provides full-spectrum ketamine-assisted therapy alongside naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, and lifestyle interventions to support patients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and complex trauma.

Dr. Wilkinson leads a multidisciplinary team, develops clinical protocols, and mentors providers while maintaining a high-touch, whole-person approach to care. Her work bridges evidence-based medicine with compassionate, root-cause healing, with a focus on creating safe, collaborative environments where both patients and clinicians can thrive.

Continuing Education Approvals and Information

NBCC-Approved Provider 
Psychedelic Affirming Education has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7579. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Psychedelic Affirming Education is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
